Inspired by the Bauhaus movement and the work of Donald Judd, the Colour Cabinet storage collection plays on the contrast between the minimalism of the lines and the vibrant generosity of the colours, which highlight the beauty of the dope-dyed material. Modern and full of zest, the colour palette has been exactingly selected to accentuate the strict, primary shapes of the units. Each piece is both functional and fun. The compartments come in various sizes, with or without legs, with or without sliding doors in ribbed glass. Colour Cabinet contains a blend of joyful intensity and remarkable sobriety, along with poetry and geometry. The Colour Cabinet storage units are made in Vlachromat: A dope-dyed and varnished wood fibre panel. The fibres are soaked with organic colours and chemically bound together by a special resin.
