Ptolomeo bookcase has become a design classic in a short time and gained the prestigious “Compas d’Or” reward in 2004. This vertical free-standing bookcase is free from any superfluous decorative details so that attention can be drawn to the most important thing: the books! The structure, one simple column in lacquered steel, can even visually disappear as we put in the books! It features a solid steel base (35 x 35 cm) to counterbalance the weight of books, is thus perfectly stable and does not need to be fixed on the ceiling in spite of its height (H 215 cm)! The brilliant design allows this bookcase to keep up to 95 books without taking up too much space… Each piece has a designer’s signature on the base. Ptolomeo is available in 3 heights; you can therefore create interesting combinations of your choice by arranging columns of different heights.
